Shooting satellite

Written on

I'm led horizontal in bed, staring out the window at the sparkling stars. It's a clear night and I can't sleep. One star in particular sits perfectly in the center of vision. She's winking at me.

A shooting star, or something temporarily shiny, moves in and out just below the one star I'm making eye contact with.

It's not the ISS, that is traveling over South Africa right now. It was in and out in a few seconds like a shooting star, but it was probably another satellite.

There are 9,900 objects orbiting Earth today.
